Happiness Heroes
Taaneyil was our target, and hitting that target was
exciting. Six different themes, different activities, different faces,
and different stages were what we had to pass through in the “Happiness
Heroes” event.
On May 21, we gathered at school and got ready to take off. On the way
there, the buses were like a popcorn pan with fun all around. In 2
hours, we reached Taaneyil, a town in Bekaa’ Valley. In a local
monastery, a group of monitors gathered around us, distributing us into
eight groups of eight each. Time to start taking actions began where we
were supposed to pass through the six themes of happiness heroes. Some
of them were: helping build a house for elderly, gaming in a way to feel
how handicaps suffer, treasure hunted words to build up a sentence, and
many others.
At the end of the day, awards were distributed. Our first award was a
delicious meal consisting of: Picon, Nutella, juice, and chocolate.
Next, we attended the closing ceremony where the top Lebanese hero,
Maxim Chaaya, was the honorable guest who distributed awards for the
minor heroes. Fortunately, we reserved the third place in the Shining
Heart Hero activity.
To sum up, we guess these words couldn’t really express what we’ve been
through on that day, but this event created an album in our memory,
etched and would never be erased.
